Long Branch 1944 manufactured World War II British Sten MK II machine gun as registered by DLO. Left side exhibits "DLO STANFORD, CT". Underside of magazine housing exhibits Long Branch and model markings with manufacturing date. Top side of housing has Chinese markings. This gun comes with three original 32 round magazines, and one 40 round magazine, an aluminum dummy receiver, and a Mark II spare parts set (less magazine and receiver pieces) which includes a serviceable barrel, and tubular steel type shoulder loop. The Sten machine gun is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stamped parts. It was far less costly and quicker to produce than any of the previous sub-machine guns the British had fielded and were produced in great numbers for World War II. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine, original dull grey-blue finish with some thinning to show some grey patina at points and at the high edges. Mechanics are fine. This is a select fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
