The Danish Madsen M50 is effective machine gun which incorporates an interesting grip safety to the rear of the magazine well. There is a lever which must be depressed in order for the bolt to release forward. Includes one original blue-grey web sling, six original magazines, one magazine loader, and a saw-cut parts set (including barrel) with the center section of the receiver not present. These Madsen machine guns are very handy and comfortable to shoot, and are always popular at the range. The leather covering on the shoulder loop provides better comfort to the firer in hot or cold conditions. This gun is a pre-May 1986 dealer sample currently on an ATF Form 3 at Morphy’s annotated as “LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE”. As a pre-86 dealer sample, this gun can be retained privately when an active FFL/SOT dealer in a "sole proprietor" status relinquishes their license, subject to any state and local restrictions, and upon BATF approval. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very good original black enamel paint finish with loss of finish to bare metal at high edges, particularly on the barrel with some scuffs and very light handling marks in other places. Tubular steel of shoulder loop has extremely fine paint coverage. Leather is extremely fine. Bore is fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is also fine. Mechanics are crisp. Parts kit is in good condition with very good bore. This is a full auto only machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE AS A PRE-86 DEALER SAMPLE ONLY TO ACTIVE CURRENT FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 ONLY.
