A very early and clean Model 21. Built circa 1940, with blued barrels and semi concave, checkered wide rib with mid bead and round red front bead foresight. Left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 20 GAUGE 2 3/4 CHAM.". Underside of left barrels is marked "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL WS-2". Underside of right barrel is marked "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL WS-1". Barrel flats are marked with serial number and Winchester proof marks. Action bottom is marked "SKEET". The gun is well equipped with a beavertail forend and with nice checkering. Stock has a straight hand grip with fine checkering and a checkered butt. The actions water table reads "Made in U.S.A. Model 21 Winchester Repeating Arms Co New Haven, Conn.", stamped with the Winchester proof and USA patents. A single selective mechanical trigger with nicely timed ejectors and non-auto safety. CONDITION: Very good. 85% plus blue with some handling marks. Refinished. Stock has some handling marks, pressure marks and dings. Bottom tang is intact but slightly bulged. Forend is in nice condition with some slight handling marks. Mechanically sound. CP
