1855 at tang. Two-leaf rear sight. CONDITION: Medium pitting at bolster. Clean out screw defaced, nipple pitted and deformed. Stirrup rammer with light pitting. Lock dated 1856. Clean and bright. Primer door with eagle clutching arrows. Brass mounts comprising trigger and butt cap with lanyard ring, barrel band and forend tip. Walnut fullstock with minor marks and faint inspector's cartouche on left side. Action very crisp. Rifled bore in fair condition. The largest US Martial percussion pistol, these showy arms have always been popular with collectors. MZ
