Made by William Henry of Nazereth, Pennsylvania circa 1797. Rifle is built in the style of the French Charleville musket with smoothbore barrel marked with "P" at left rear and "CP" on top at rear. Three barrel banded walnut stock with several sets of what look to be former user initials. Flintlock with "Henry" stamped at the rear and "CP" stamped in front of the cock. Iron hardware with steel ramrod. Comes with in depth letter of description along with lock pictures and description on computer disc. CONDITION: Cleaned in the white metal finish with some peppery pitting fading back to original looking finish. Barrel has what looks to be aged vise marks near the breech. Wood has aged finish with a filled crack in front of the trigger guard due to a flaw in the wood grain. DLM2019
