Lot contains: (A) Luftwaffe M34 DD Fire Brigade helmet, and (B) German WWII veteran postwar service lot. (A) Luftwaffe double decal "square dip" M34 helmet with approximately 80% of its original black painted finish remaining on the aluminum shell exterior, and approximately 85% is its original finish on the interior. 85% of its Luftwaffe eagle decal remain, and approximately 90% of the national colors decal remain. The white night time stripe retains more than 90% of its painted finish. The leather chinstrap is in rough condition with the right rear piece missing. Liner is present with damage to its folded rim. Leather head pad is present, and the neck protector mounting tabs are present. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Postwar West German uniform items to a WWII German pilot. Bundeswehr Luftwaffe fight cap, with cockade, named to "Hauptman Hakenbeck", and with a Koblenz maker. Bundeswehr bullion officer flight wings, a pair of olive slip-on Colonel's straps, 3 aluminum officer pips, and a 1988 dated letter presenting a brief history of the officer are included. CONDITION: Near mint.
