This is a beautiful and bright example with no rim chips or nicks, very strong and uniform acid-etching, and only a small series of very light surface scratches on the lower left side of the glass. Those scratches certainly don't stand out and take the form of a dot pattern in a single line and few collectors would strongly note the issue. This large 5 cent is the variation that is shown on page 364 of Petretti's Guide, and it features the more slender bottom portion of the number 5 on the glass. Condition: 9.6, Near Mint.
