This booklet is quite unusual and possibly unique and features an early iteration of the "Dutch Boy" character which was used to promote the sale of the gum. We have never seen the booklet and have only seen a small die-cut of the boy in this similar format and position one time. The die-cut we refer to has never been offered at public auction. This booklet is quite interesting and amusing from the standpoint of the content. It has numerous pages with interesting illustrations featuring the boy and the gum pack and talks about such topics as chewing gum as an aid to health. It features prose and poetry inside as well as comments by folks who performed chemical analysis of the gum and made comments pertaining to that. The interior of the book is practically new and unused, while the cover displays some light wear and soiling and two small bends and crease lines are evident at the boys hand with the gum pack. The piece is intended to have his hand totally tucked into his pocket, only revealing the gum pack when the booklet is open. From the Thom Thompson collection and believed to be the only known example! Condition: 8.5 - 9.0, Excellent+.
