Brass eagle front plate with German silver engineers castle, brass spike and engineers castle side buttons. Tan leather sweatband with W. H. Horstmann 1898 contract stamp. CONDITION: Leather chin strap detached, interior showing moderate wear. (B) Pressed black fur felt body with black felt band around the lower edge of the helmet and leather chin strap. Brass eagle with German silver ordnance bomb, brass spike and ordnance department side buttons. Tan leather sweatband with C.J. Heller contract stamp. CONDITION: Excellent condition showing moderate storage wear. C) Pressed fur felt body with a polished black leather band around the lower edge of the helmet and black leather chin strap. Brass eagle front plate with German silver caduceus, brass spike and hospital department caduceus side buttons. Tan leather sweatband, B.W. Whitlock 1890 contract label. CONDITION: Felt crown with repaired cracks.
