High condition, pre-war rifle with long tang. Manufactured 1940. Tapered round barrel marked with Winchester address and ".348 WCF" caliber marking. Lyman receiver sight. Rear sight slot filled with plug, standard front sight. Correct sling swivels. Winchester marked red recoil pad added. Checkered deluxe grade pistol grip stock and forearm. CONDITION: Excellent+ overall. Nearly all original high polish blue remaining on frame, only visible wear on loading gate and retainer. 98% original blue on barrel with light wear at the breech. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Overall very attractive and desirable pre-war Winchester. MS
