The helmet of classic form with four neck lames. Fluted skull with 6 flutes of one piece. Rough from the hammer. Sliding nasal of one bar. Large brim with border. This helmet is practically unique of the type in that it retains what appear to be both original ear flaps. An excellent example of this most identifiable type of helmet. CONDITION: Untouched throughout. PROVENANCE: FORMER COLLECTION OF THE NELSON-ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART.
