Made from 1953 through end of production. The SA barrel is dated 1962 and stamped "NM" on left outside. Also stamped "NM" for National match are op-rod, front sight, and rear sight. Beautiful walnut stock has the 3/8" "DOD" stamp on left side of stock with proof "P" on bottom of wrist. TE reading: 2. ME reading: 1. Bolt is stamped "6528287-SA". The trigger group is stamped "D28290-5-SA". CONDITION: Aside from a couple of very minor handling marks, it retains fully 98% plus of its matte arsenal finish. Near mint stock. Beautiful M1 Garand. Comes with 1991 dated shipping box from Anniston Army Depot.
