Lightweight rifle with rapid tapered round barrel marked "nickel steel". Half length takedown magazine tube. Serial number 135825, manufactured in 1905. Takedown frame. Deluxe pistol grip stock, and forearm with 'H' pattern checkering. Shotgun style butt with hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall with 97%+ original blue remaining on barrel and takedown magazine tube. Takedown ring mostly brown patina. 10-15% case color on hammer. Strong blue on upper and lower tangs, only traces of original blue on frame turning a brown patina. Lever mostly patina. Original unmolested screws. Stock has moderate wear with scattered scratches and dents. Forearm is excellent. Overall an attractive rifle showing honest hunting use. MKS
