This offering by Winchester was made from 1909-1928. Winchester sold their line of optics to Lyman in 1929 where this model continued in production under the Lyman name as the Model 5-A. That same year, Lyman also bought out the line of fine Stevens scopes as well. The 5-A now featured Bausch & Lomb full achromatic lenses. The Winchester A-5 measures 16" with a 3/4" tube. CONDITION: There are no visible cross-hairs so optics will need some work. Finish is a light blue-silver thinning finish. Mounts are standard Grasshopper rear and usual front. DB
