The grey barrel features deep relief modern mechanical engraving and no finish. Matching loading level with mechanical engraving en suite. Cylinder matching with strong traces of naval engagement scene. Frame with deep relief mechanical engraving with scrolls on punctate ground. Hammer with wolf's head style engraving. Back strap engraved with shell and scroll design. Trigger guard with rudimentary engraving on sides, none on bow, matching number. Matching wedge engraved en suite. CONDITION: Rear of cylinder with partially intact pin safeties. Nipples deeply pitted. Modern ivory grips are artificially aged. Left side with significant fracture. Action is tight, bore is fair with visible rifling. An all matching 1851 Navy with modern engraving. MZ
