A direct copy of Sharps four shot derringer, and according to the book "Sharps Firearms" by Frank Sellers, possibly built from parts manufactured by Sharps that were shipped to England. This Model T-1 is marked "Tipping & Lawden-Sharps' Patent" on the left side of around the hammer screw. Blue barrel cluster, brass frame, and gutta percha grips with molded scroll work. Barrel has serial number marked on bottom of muzzle. Barrel has scroll engraving wit a stippled "thumbprint" on both sides. Frame has full coverage masterfully executed scroll engraving. CONDITION: Excellent overall with approximately 90% original high polish blue remaining on the barrel. Brass frame has an untouched look with a mellow mustard color patina. Bores are very good with moderate pitting. Case is very good with some splitting and separation of the burl walnut veneer top. Interior is sound and clean. Overall a very attractive little gun with honest condition.-MKS-
