A vintage .416 Winchester Model 70 by Griffin & Howe. Barrel is 24" in length with quarter rib and express sights at 50 yards standing, 100 and 200 yard folding sight leaves and banded ramped blade front sight. Tapped for scope mount. Action is a Winchester Model 70 with a three position flag safe and jeweled bolt and two panel bolt handle. Trigger blade is cross cut for additional grip. Stock has a shadow line cheek piece, ebony forend tip, orange old English Pachmayr pad with fine hand checkered dark American walnut stock. The action was built in 1953 and the bolt was jeweled by G&H so there is no visible serial number. CONDITION: Excellent retaining overall 95% blue. There is some light high edge wear on barrel, foresight band shows a bit of freckling, trigger guard and floorplate show a bit of high edge wear as well. Slight handling marks on stock and forend. A classic G&H custom with New York barrel address. CP
