Nicely engraved L. Lambert Belgium made .458 Winchester Magnum Safari rifle. A 24" shiny round barrel with scroll engraving by chamber. Grey-blue satin finish and walnut stock. Manufactured in 1970 with a heavyweight magnum barrel and a hooded ramp front sight and adjustable notch rear sight on island base. The receiver has been drilled and tapped with screws for scope mounts and is the "FN" long action style. Built with two recoil lugs. The extractor and bolt are polished bright with side safe. The receiver, trigger guard and floorplate display lovely scroll engraving with lots of surface coverage. The floorplate is engraved with a charging Cape Buffalo in bush with border scroll. Trigger guard is engraved with lion standing in bush. Receiver is engraved with an elephant with its head, trunk and tusks in the bush on its left side and on its right there's a charging Rhino in the bush all with supporting scroll. It has a serrated gold plated trigger and is mounted on a fancy walnut pistol grip stock with fine checkering and carved borders. White spacer between grip stock and rosewood cap, a gold diamond shaped inset on the grip cap, Monte Carlo comb, cheekpiece and a vented Browning recoil pad. Forend also has a white spacer at its tip. Weighs: 8 Lbs. 2 oz. CONDITION: Very nice overall with 95% original blue finish displaying only minimal light handling marks. The wood has very nice grain and fine checkering. Browning case and sling in good condition. Mechanically sound. CP
