This is an extremely scarce milled receiver pre-ban Valmet model M76W. The "W" denotes that it has a full wood butt stock. Black plastic forend. Made in Finland and imported by Valmet Inc. in Elmsford, New York between 1984 and 1989. Valmet M76 rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm are quite scarce in the United States, with fewer than 50 known examples, and as such these are highly sought today. This gun comes with two 30 round proper Valmet surplus magazines in used condition. CONDITION: Gun retains 90% finish overall with a pleasing patina and some light surface rust on exterior of barrel. Markings are clear. Plastic hand guard is fine with minor handling marks. Wood stock has some minor handling marks and the usual crack in the left side from the sling swivel bar screw being over-tightened. Buttplate is not cracked but has dings and scratches. Bore is fair with an area of pitting. Good mechanical function. JWK
