The frame on this revolver is simply superb with crisp markings, bright nitre blued screws, serial number 37845. Octagonal barrel. One piece walnut grips. Military inspector marks. CONDITION: Barrel is magnificent, retaining nearly all of its bright blue finish. Loading lever retains almost all of the original case hardening with rainbow colors throughout. Cylinder has nearly all of what appears to be original blue with excellent inspectors marks, however, serial number is polished and the "4" is missing one of its arms. Hammer retains nearly all of its faded case hardening. Trigger retains nearly all of its original nitre blue. Grip retains nearly all of what appears to be original varnish, although inspector's mark on right side of grip appears to be filled and somewhat worn. Muzzle of revolver is bright, interior of gun is superb with hardened ancient grease and lacquer. This lovely revolver appears unfired. Grip has only minor marks and only one fairly significant dent on left side where grip meets frame. While some of the finish on this revolver appears to be unusual, we feel it is factory original. MZ
