Third model, large frame, single action army revolver with top strap on frame and long fluted cylinder. 7" barrel marked with Merwin Hulbert & Co. address with last patent date March 6, 1877. Left side of frame marked two line "CALIBRE/WINCHESTER/1873". Deluxe engraved in typical Merwin Hulbert punch dot style with a panel scene on left side of frame featuring a fox in a woodland scene. Two piece mother of pearl grips. CONDITION: Excellent overall with 95+% original nickel plating remaining. Strong case color on hammer. Mottled case color on trigger guard. Grips are excellent with chip on left toe, and a chip at the right heel. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is good with scattered pitting. -MKS-
