A ready-to-hang, factory made shotshell display board, completely framed and under glass. Large leather trade label reads "William Evans Gun & Rifle Makers Established 1883 67a St. James Street, London SW1A 1PH" Their logo also appears in all four corners. Displaying approximately 40 shells, all stamped with St. James, Pall Mall, Marlboro or William Evans. The piece measures 25" square as framed which appears to be done for the factory.
Established 1883, William Evans is one of the last remaining independent gun makers in the UK. Located in St. James's, London & Bisley Camp, Surrey.
A great board that probably hung at their store. Unlike Winchester or Remington, they had no need to make extra boards for dealers so existing examples are not only rare but probably each is one of a kind. CONDITION: Near mint overall. DB
