Late World War II production Inland General Motors produced M1 Carbine in the appropriate type III configuration with bayonet lug, toggle safety, and "M" marked magazine release. Inland 2-44 barrel date with inland marked trigger. Assembly with "U" marked hammer. Unmarked two rivet hand guard with unmarked low wood butt with crossed cannons inspection on right side of butt. Comes with Guard marked M4 "IMPERIAL" bayonet with USM8A1 scabbard. CONDITION. Very good with most arsenal finish remaining with thinning at barrel and high points. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny. Wood is very good with very minor crack in hand guard tip that is no visible while assembled. Action operates properly. Bayonet and scabbard are good with thinning blade finish and very good leather handle. Scabbard is good.
