Case color deluxe Winchester model 1886 with 26" half round half octagon barrel with button magazine and checkered deluxe pistol grip stock with crescent butt. Fitted with bead front sight and Lyman folding tang sight as well as ladder adjustable rear sight. Deluxe Model 1886 rifles are not very common and to have many additional options creates rarity and desirability. Chambered for the .45-70 Government cartridge and suitable for most all North American big game. CONDITION: Very good as slightly modified, Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Action is crisp and functions properly. Barrel retains over 75% blue finish with balance fading. Receiver retains 40% vivid case colors with silver at bottom and fading at sides. Receiver has been drilled and tapped for side mounted scope mount on left (4 holes) and the same on the right side. Non-factory sling eyes have been installed but look to be older installation. Wood stocks are very good with very minor material loss at top of wrist and missing ebony grip insert. A great shootable collectible. TDW
