This is one of the best condition M&H open top revolvers extant. The cylinder shows no signs of having ever been fired. This spectacular gun has all of the early features to include red gutta percha square butt grips, scoop flutes, solid hammer, lanyard loop. No caliber mark which indicates as was made for the .44 M&H cartridge. The trigger and grip screws are fire blued, hammer is case color. Matching numbers 761 on frame, cylinder and barrel. CONDITION: Grips are near mint. There is a light cylinder drag line and a small 1/2" area of nickel loss as well. Hammer case colors intact. Grip screws and trigger retain most of their original fire blue. There are also a couple of minor handling marks. Other than that, this gun retains at least 98% of its original high polish factory nickel finish. The rifling is sharp as new as is the action and suction. One of the finest Merwin and Hulbert open top .44's in the hobby. DB
