This fine commercial Colt was made during the last year of peacetime, 1941. It has all the pre-War features to include short checkered trigger, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing, checkered slide stop and safety, type II rear sight with beveled edge and u notch. Walnut grips are fully checkered. Magazine is stamped on base, pinned, and in full high polish blue finish. CONDITION: This gem appears to have never been fired, no drag line, no slide line. Blued barrel. 99.9% with only the most minute of marks. In addition, it has the scarce Swartz safety first used in 1937. The box is matching with proper end label and both instruction sheets with cleaning rod. Would be nearly impossible to improve on this pre-War Colt 1911-A1. DB
