This is a commercially built gun by Group Industries utilizing new made, modified military, and original military parts. These were produced prior to the introduction of the semi-automatic BAR's. The M.O.R. stands for "Manually Operated Rifle". This gun fires from an open bolt and the action must be manually operated for each shot. This gun features a "8-44" dated "NE-7" marked New England Westinghouse barrel. Threaded muzzle for flash hider, with a thread protector screwed on it. "A 623"/ Chilean crest / MODELO/ CHILENO" marked on the top of the bolt lock stopping block. Checkered wood forend, wood stock with A2 style flip up buttplate. Unmarked commercially finished mag. "T.S.Co." modern production military style leather sling. CONDITION: Fine with about 90% finish overall. Markings are clear. Wood is fine with light handling marks, there is a crack in either side of the forend that has been glued at one time. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Mechanics are fine. GR
