According to consignor, this pistol has been examined by Jan Still and in his opinion it is an authentic "Death's Head" Luger. Death's head marking is over chamber, otherwise this is a 1920 Commercial Luger with standard features including extractor marked "GELADEN", front toggle link marked "DWM", correct crown "N" proof mark on left side of receiver, top of breech block and the bottom of the barrel. CONDITION: Gun is a mismatched numbers gun, that has had cold blue applied to it. Bore is fair to good showing frosting and light pitting. Tin magazine will not work and is missing the load follower button. Checkered modern reproduction wood grips. Consignor of this piece is an advanced "Unit Marked" Luger collector and availed themselves of this piece over 25 years ago. Death's Head Luger pistols are very elusive and close examination of the marking and consideration of other factors surrounding the piece are important considerations and are provided here. JWK
