(ca 1905) Based on an original Mannlicher takedown, the meticulous craftsmen of Hamburg, updated and restocked it for client in the year 2000. Original barrel was converted to fire the 250-3000 Savage cartridge and the barrel band sling base was installed along with a claw scope base at rear. Top of barrel is gold inlaid "Hartmann & Weiss · Hamburg". Mannlicher lettering on receiver ring has also been inlaid with gold. Standard takedown Mannlicher action is fitted with rear scope base, and engraved with splashes of scroll and line borders. Bolt handle has scroll engraving and gold border outline. Flag safety is gold inlaid "F" and "S". Magazine bottom and trigger guard bow are engraved with 50% coverage well cut scroll. Gold line borders on magazine bottom and serial number is in gold on trigger guard bow. Rifle has been restocked with a spectacular piece of dark marbled and lightly figured European walnut. It measures 15 - 1/4" over thin black Decelerator pad. Stock features very well cut classic checkering at grip and forend, right hand shadow line cheekpiece, ebony forend tip, and a nicely fitted blue steel grip cap which is scroll engraved and has monogram "GM" in gold within an oval gold border. A gold circle on toe line is engraved "Millennium" Rifle is fitted with a Zeiss Diavari V 2.5 - X scope with three post and crosshair reticle in custom claw rings, rear with windage. CONDITION: Excellent, as custom finished, appears to have had little use, retaining nearly all fine custom blue on all metal parts. Stock has some areas where finish is a bit thin, and could use some extra oil. There are a few minor marks scattered over all. An 1 - 1/2" x 1 - 1/2" area on left side above magazine bottom has some fairly deep abrasions and bumps. Bore is excellent, Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent. a very pretty little rifle.
