So few Marble's calendars hit the market in any year, they are almost impossible to trace. This full calendar dates to 1925 and has the full pad with January on top. Their most famous products are illustrated about the print including the GameGetter, Ideal Knife and Safety Ax. The Goodwin image is crisp and bright. Philip R. Goodwin (September 16th, 1881 – December 14th, 1935) was an American painter and illustrator who specialized in depictions of wildlife, the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the Old American West. He provided illustrations for numerous books and magazines, as well as for commercial items, such as posters, advertisements and calendars. He is perhaps best known for illustrating Jack London's The Call of the Wild and for providing the cover art for many issues of Outdoor Recreation / Outdoor Life Magazine during the 1920s and early 1930s. He is also the artist who designed the 'Horse & Rider' Trademark of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The Marble Safety Axe Company began in 1898. CONDITION: There is some light creasing where calendar was rolled at one time but they are not torn through. There is some light handling wear but overall very clean. Both of the original bands are intact as well. A killer piece. Framed to 19" x 25". From the Mel Hrubetz Collection. DB
