Custom fabricated utilizing a commercial semi automatic right sideplate and Israeli contracted Fabrique Nationale 1919 single spade parts set. Left side plate crisply marked Fabrique Nationale D'Armes De Guerre, hestal Belgique and dated 1956. Single wood handled spade trigger assembly and chambered for 7.62 Nato. Uses cloth belts and has standard 24 inch barrel with ventilated shroud. This variation in full automatic is known as the Mod. 10 in Israel. Folding rear sight with dial adjustments to 1800 meters and folding non-hooded front sight. Top receiver plate is clearly marked with Israeli marking and all designations are in Hebrew. The 1919 was one of the favored guns used by the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) and used in great numbers until replacement in the 1970's. CONDITION, Very good with most period grey/green parkerized finish remaining. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. Action is smooth and operates properly in semi-auto, wood spade grips has slight scuffing but in no way effects operation. Really a great gun for the World War II enthusiast who does not care to spend 20,000.00 for an authentic machine gun variation.
