Made circa 1947. 12 gauge, with a 30 inch solid rib barrel, blued finish with walnut stock and forend. Single bead foresight on the concave matted rib. Choked full and light modified with ejectors. The left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER-12 GAUGE 2 3/4 CHAM.". "Winchester proof steel" marked "FULL" and "MOD" (left - right) on bottom of barrels. The matching serial number is marked on the upper tang, barrel flat, forearm hardware, and forearm. Single mechanical trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safe with "SAFE" in gold. Water table provides the U.S.A. patents, Winchester proof along with makers name, model and address. Fitted with a checkered walnut splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with a brown vented rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Very good as refinished. 95% blue finish remains with some light handling marks, surface scratches, and a small patch of pitting on the left muzzle. The wood is very good with and benefits from the added recoil pad, handling marks on the checkering, and scattered small dings and pressure indentations. Mechanically excellent. CP
