London Best "Super Trap" gun circa 1963. This nitro proofed gun is featured with a ventilated matted (stippled) flat top rib with dual steel sights. Near the breech rib reads "HOLLAND & HOLLAND, LONDON." Mono-bloc rust blued steel barrel with standard proof marks and scroll. Bold Acanthus leaf engraved wings. Case colored finished boxlock action, grip cap and trigger assembly. Full coverage acanthus leaf scroll engraving with "HOLLAND & HOLLAND LONDON" on bottom of action. Action with single polished trigger and ejector. Nicely figured tiger striped walnut and finely checkered pistol grip stock with low Monte Carlo comb, metal grip cap, and black ventilated recoil pad. Black finished acanthus leaf scroll engraved hardware and right hand rolled trigger guard. Forend is a slim beavertail with an new screw release. CONDITION: Barrels retain 93% plus original rust blue with some slight usage markings at muzzle and under forearm. Possibly new barrels as flats are marked "LP83". Stock and forearm are very good some handling marks. Checkering is fairly sharp with some slight handling marks and scratches. Mechanically excellent. CP
