This particular revolver serial number 48234 has the desirable rare short frame with a 3-inch barrel, silver plated backstrap, and trigger guard. One-piece walnut grips. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, and wedge. Two line New York barrel address. Includes a correct partition style fitted case with all accessories, including an Eagle powder flask, brass bullet mold, and cartridge pack spare mainspring, nipples and japanned cap tin. This revolver has a wonderful history and has been considered to be one of the finest condition examples known. It is featured on page 30 of R.L.Wilsons book on the Al Cali collection as well as the the Jim Eplen collection, Max Guenthert collection. CONDITION: Case is excellent, revolver is excellent plus with most all original blue on barrel and cylinder. Silver plating on trigger guard and backstrap has turned a pleasing dark patina.
