Fully tooled No. 2 pattern Mexican double loop holster and matching money belt. Holster is fitted for a 5-1/2 inch barrel Colt Single Action Revolver, belt has .38 caliber cartridge loops. Both holster and money belt are stamped S.C. Gallup Saddlery Co. Pueblo (Colorado). The S.C. Gallup Saddlery Co., had a shop located in Pueblo Co. from 1869 - 1924. Holster is constructed of russet skirting material, with a right handed pouch and is fully lined in suede leather. Provenance Max Guenthert collection CONDITION: Fine overall with minimum grazing, no loose stitching. Very fine hand carved in an elongated motif set off with rolled border lines. Some weakness of loops at the skirt. Cartridge loops are tight. Average wear to lining. Overall a very attractive gun rig made by a desirable western maker. -MKS-
