Lot consists of: (A) Dated August 1859, a hand written request to Samuel Colt from US Naval Board of Ordnance and Hydrography. Request is for price and delivery time of 100 rifles to the Washington Naval Yard for inspection and approval. (B) Colt Letterhead statement to the Adams Nickel Plating Co, in South Windham, Connecticut for the receipt of one seven shot cylinder and frame. Dated February 1876. (C) Purchase order from Blake Brothers dated April 29th, 1862 for large quantity of Navy and Police model bullet molds. (D) Colt letterhead purchase order to the Blake plating company of Windham Connecticut, for the plating of 100 seven shot revolvers dated January 1874. This unique grouping encompasses the pre-Civil War era through the introduction of the new seven shot open top .22 revolver. Provenance Max Guenthert collection. TDW
