This impressive lot consists of nine Colt bullet molds (A) Brass mold for Colt Model 1848 Baby Dragoon. Straight leg pattern marked "COLT'S PATENT" and inspected "C". (B) Transitional brass mold for 1848 Baby Dragoon and early 1849 Pocket Models. Brass marked "COLT'S PATENT" inspected "W" with wide straight leg handles. (C) Early Brass Colt mold for Squareback Navy with sprue cutter, straight leg pattern and marked on right side "COLT'S PATENT". (D) Iron mold from Colt London for .28 caliber 1855 Root Revolver. Small straight leg pattern without sprue cutter and marked "COLT PATENT" on top. (E) Iron Colt straight leg pattern for .36 Navy revolver with sprue cutter and marked "COLT'S PATENT" on cutter and 36B on side. (F) Iron Bow leg variation for the 1860 Army revolver caliber .44 with sprue cutter. Marked "COLT'S PATENT" on cutter and "44 H" on side. (G) Extremely rare dual cavity mold for Colt Model 1873 Single action revolver. Casting two flat point conical bullets. Bow leg design with "COLT'S PATENT" marked sprue cutter and 45A on side below struck out 36R marking. (H) Large iron armorer's gang mold for Colt Model 1860 Army revolver. Six cavity with long sprue cutter and wooded handles. Marked with "44H" at right block at joint Both arms are "A.H.K." inspector marked (Albert H.Kirkman 1862-63). (I) Very rare brass straight leg pattern .44 mold for Dragoon revolvers with sprue cutter and marked with "COLT'S PATENT" on right side. Rare variation that cast conical bullet without grease groove and round ball.Provenance Max Guenthert collection CONDITION: All are good with patina and small storage markings. TDW
