Group of five mechanical brass capping devices for the Colt pattern revolver. Each unique in their own way as being of different pattern and design. (A) Brass 2 - 1/4" diameter with screw top with geared & numbered cap magazine. Numbered from 1 to 31 and is spring loaded and functions like a drum magazine. Small window in screw top allows one to know the number of caps remaining internally. CONDITION: Fine with no makers markings. (B) Hinged lid capper made of brass with spiral internal capacity design with spring loaded follower. Works very similar to Paterson capper. CONDITION: Very fine with no makers markings. (C) 2 - 1/4" diameter with brass construction spiral channel for caps internal with spring follower. Elegant locking device on outside cover and marked "KOJSEK IN PRAG" on base of cover. CONDITION: Very fine and functioning. (D) 2 - 3/8" diameter, brass construction mechanical capper in leather carry case. Spring latch/lock. Marked 1835 on interior of lid. Case is brown leather with with carved exterior. Very early design not previously seen. (E) Coin finished mechanical capping device wonderfully marker marked "DICKSON&SONS" Screw lid pattern with spring loaded follower. 2" diameter with retaining ring at butt end. CONDITION: Excellent with a pleasant uncleaned coin finish and working mechanics. (F) English capper, serial number 2, manufactured by C. & J.W. Hawksley, Sheffield. TDW CORRECTION: This is a lot of six, including item (F) English capper.
