This pistol is in the original Anniston Arsenal box dated Oct 11, 1965 with matching serial number to gun as shipped to Alabama. It is a Colt made in 1919. The left side of the frame has the AA stamp along with Springfield Eagle. Slide is stamped "MODEL of 1911 US ARMY". Pistol has original World War I era parts such as checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, flat mainspring housing with loop, long smooth trigger with type II rear sight that has beveled edge with U notch. Barrel is newer blued replacement and the grips are Keyes style brown plastic. Magazine has a bit of rust. Finish is the black Du-Lite style. CONDITION: Aside from light handling marks, gun is nearly 100% as arsenal finished. DB
