This early Ithaca has the Du-Lite finish only used on early pistols. The right side of the frame has the Ordnance wheel stamp found on all Ithaca Models. FJA for Frank Atwood can be found on left side of frame. There is a P on both top of slide and side of frame. According to the book by Poyer, only the very early Ithaca models were finished in the new dull black Du-Lite finish. CONDITION: Aside from some light high edge wear and a light take down line, the finish remains a solid 99%. Magazine is marked L for MS Little. Ithaca received five contracts for guns from 1943-45. Their contract was for 60.000 units. This makes the Ithaca a fairly scarce item, especially in this finish. Comes in GI style box. DB
