Factory documented as being shipped November 9 1944 to Springfield Armory in a shipment of 649 guns as blue finish Cal, 380. "US PROPERTY" stamped on right side of frame with Navy ordnance bomb stamped on left side of frame. Blue finish with checkered walnut grips. There is an M hand stamped on frame in front of serial number as well as magazine which indicates that this gun was sent back to arsenal to have the stove pipe problem resolved. Aside from the above, this is a standard blue Model 1908 in .380 caliber. CONDITION: Excellent There is a hint of high edge wear but still retains at least 99.9% factory blue. DB CORRECTION: It has been discovered that this is a proper US Ordnance bomb inspection and not a Navy inspected pistol.
