(1927) 26" barrels with Parker's Meriden address and "PARKER SPEC. STEEL" on narrow rib. All correct marks are on water table and lumps. 000 Frame features automatic safety and double triggers. Action is engraved in usual "G" style with 30% scroll surrounding birds in ovals on sides; ducks on left, quail on right. A pair of pheasant are in circular motif on bottom of action. "PARKER BROS" is over each bird scene on sides. Blued trigger guard with scroll on bow has serial number on tang. Relatively plain American walnut round pistol grip buttstock measures 14 - 3/8" over Parker dog's head buttplate with spur. Typical checkering is at grip, and a silver shield is on toe line. Matching splinter forend has usual Parker release and steel tip. CONDITION: Very fine, original, as found. This gun is absolutely fresh to market, and has not been cleaned or even wiped down. Barrels retain approximately 80% original blue with scattered rubs, marks, and some light oxidation. Action retains 40-50% original case hardening color, rubbed and faded on sides, but quite strong in areas around bottom and around trigger plate. There are traces of blue left on trigger guard. Stocks retain most of their original finish, worn through on sharp edges and side panels. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores appear to be very fine (dirty). Mechanically fine. Although listed in the serial number ledger as a "V" grade, this gun was obviously originally made as a "G" with all correct markings on water table. All other specifications match. MGM67. CORRECTION: We are selling this gun as an upgrade from VH grade and believe it may have been altered during the Remington production era as the quality of the work appears near factory. We will not guarantee the gun as a GH grade .
