It has been purported that these guns were produced following World War I by DWM for the American commercial market, however it is more likely that this gun was assembled in the United States by a company such as Stoeger. The conversion included added a stock lug to the rear of the grip safety frame, a forend mounting bar added to the front of the frame and the addition of a forend. The safety marking on the left side of the frame was removed during conversion. Crown/N commercial proofs. DWM marked toggle. No chamber date. Adjustable rear sight with 1, 2, & 3 gradations. "MADE IN GERMANY" export stamp on left side of frame. Checkered wood grips, forend, and wrist of detachable stock. Matching numbers, as well as matching "119" assembly numbers. Stock mounting iron is unmarked. Buttplate screws are numbered. This gun is accompanied by an oak case, leather covered with unmarked brass plaque on front. French fitted suede interior. 3 magazines in total, all wood bottom. Cleaning rod, takedown tool marked "GERMANY", small punch, and a full box of Winchester .30 Luger ammunition. CONDITION: Very fine as refurbished. Retains 95% dark blued finish with clear markings. The straw colors have been redone. Coarse checkering on stock, grips, and forend is sharp. Some light handling marks in wood. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Case is very good with some scuff marks and scratches to the leather. Accessories in matching condition to gun. GR
