The 7 - 1/8" octagonal barrel with border engraving around muzzle and sparse scroll engraving at breech. British viewed and proof stamps. No barrel address. Rear sight integral with frame. Unadorned cylinder with one band of engine turning at front face. Plain solid frame with minor scroll engraving on right and left sides. Engraved "Adams Patent No. 20447Y". First Model type hammer with no spur. First Model type trigger that pierces trigger guard. Finely checkered walnut butt, steel buttcap with sparse floral engraving and floral engraved screw. CONDITION: Mostly smooth patina with some staining but showing little if any wear. Traces of blue in protected areas. Action is excellent, bore is fine with sharp rifling. This large dragoon sized revolver is cased in possibly its original case with green felt lining. Spare cylinder in good condition. Nipple wrench, loading tool marked "W. Tranter's Patent" retains considerable original case colors. Ramrod with jag, likely the original. Excellent .50 caliber Tranter's patent bullet mold retaining some original finish on sprue cutter. Case itself in fine condition with one minor crack in lid but considerable original varnish finish. A most attractive and unusual English dragoon percussion revolver. MZ
