Rarely seen 480 code Walther P-38 with matching numbers that is finished in the commercial quality blue. Waffenampt stamps on frame, slide, barrel, locking bolster and hammer (Eagle 359 inspection). Black plastic grips. Post war replacement magazine. CONDITION: Gun has overall high edge wear, some thinning on slide with light storage scratches. Still a solid 85% gun with fine bore and grips. Right grip has AH and date scratched at top. It is estimated that only 6800 480 code Walthers were made before they went to the AC code and rarely does one surface for sale. Grips have matching serial number on both panels. Matching serial number on locking bolster. Safety fails to drop hammer and needs attention. One of the rarest of all Walther P-38 models. DB
