Original configuration first issue Navy contract Luger with the safety marking below the lever on the left side at the rear of the frame. Most of these were later converted into the second issue configuration with the safety markings being modified as well as the safety lever operation. Crown/M inspectors marks on the gun, as well as on the bottom of the original and early but mismatched wood bottom magazine with concentric rings. All numbers are matching with the exception of the grip safety and magazine as noted. CONDITION: Retains 80% original thinning blue overall, area of pitting on the left side of the muzzle as well as a few much smaller areas of pinprick pitting. All markings are clear. Grips are worn smooth with distinct checkering. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Bolt hold-open does not engage. Otherwise good mechanical function. GR
