This is a first issue Navy contract Luger, safety marking originally below the lever on the left side of the frame at the rear. The marking was arsenal removed and re-stamped above the lever. Crown/M inspectors marks. All matching numbers with the exception of the wood bottomed magazine. Marked “VA/7” on the backstrap between the bottom of the grip safety and stock lug. “GERMANY” export mark on the right side of the frame. CONDITION: Retains 90% finish overall. A good amount of straw color remains. Some wear on high points and minor pitting on backstrap. All markings are clear. Grips are excellent with sharp checkering. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. GR
