Barrel is fluted at breech with octagonal muzzle, engraved signed "Ross Edinburgh". Bolted lock with push on safety and sparse engraving signed "Ross Edinburgh". Steel stock engraved throughout its length with scrolls and inlaid with silver dots, Scottish thistles, and Clan MacLean armorial "Altera Merces". Owner's initials in silver reserve, "HML". Silver pricker engraved with expanded flowers en suite with silver ball trigger. Original belt hook. CONDITION: Barrel with significant pitting, mostly at muzzle. Lock has been cleaned, leaving engraving light. Hammer has been damaged and repaired, obscuring all engraving. Steel stock with minor pitting throughout, however, silver inlay is crisp and legible with beautiful armorial and Clan MacLean motto. Action is crisp. Bore is good. Ramrod appears to be an old period replacement. MZ
