Serial number 14889 matching on all major components including wedge. .36 caliber. 5 - 1/2" barrel with one line "ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK US AMERICA". Pin front sight. High polish blue on barrel and cylinder. Case hardened frame, hammer and loading lever. Silver plated brass trigger guard and backstrap. Trigger guard marked "31 CAL" and letter "P" on left side. The .31 caliber designation is believed to be a factory error. Rebated cylinder with rolled stagecoach holdup scene. Frame stamped "Colts Patent" on left side. One piece varnished walnut grips. Walnut partition fitted case with correct accessories including "Colts Patent" bullet mold, and powder flask. Unopened packet of six combustible cartridges. Colt combination nipple wrench. Eley Bros. percussion cap tin. CONDITION: Excellent overall with 90-95% bright blue on barrel, 60-70% blue on cylinder. 60-75% bright case colors on frame, loading lever, and hammer. All original unmolested screws, with exception of possibly replaced wedge screw. Most all original silver plating remaining on trigger guard and backstrap. Grips are excellent plus with 95% plus original varnish showing minimum wear. Case exterior is excellent showing minimum wear. Dark green interior is excellent showing modest wear. Bullet mold is excellent plus showing most all original blue. Powder flask is excellent with pleasing patina. Overall an extremely nice Colt Pocket Navy that would be most difficult to improve upon. -MKS-
