Lot consists of (A) An Enfield ShtLE III .22 PATTN '14 No 2. Dated 1909. This gun was originally made as a standard .303 that was converted by A.G. Parker & Co. Ltd. of Birmingham. Proper hollow magazine. Canvas sling. Original volley sights. CONDITION: Retains 90% finish overall. All markings are clear. Wood has some dings and handling marks, as well as a few arsenal repairs. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Gun (B) is an Enfield rifle that was converted into a sporter by Essential Agencies Ltd. of Canada in the years following World War II. This gun is known as a "Type C" which features a sporter butt, non-military forend, and express flip sight. Production of the Type C is estimated at 1,700 guns. Made utilizing a mix of surplus Enfield parts and newer production sporter parts. Equipped with a canvas military sling. 3 shot magazine. CONDITION: Retains 90% high luster commercial blue overall. Drilled and tapped on the left side of the receiver for a scope mount. All markings are clear. Wood has dings and handling marks, crack in left side at nose. Bore is fine with strong rifling.
